Privacy.

Short version: we collect as little as possible, we never sell it, and you can have it deleted by asking.

Who we are

HYPA MODE is operated by Marcus Blenkhorn ("we"). This site is hypamode.com. To contact us about your data, use the contact form.

What we collect

  • Waitlist and contact forms: your email address, an optional first name, an optional message, the page and campaign source you arrived from (for example a utm_source parameter), the mode the site was in, your country (derived from the network), and the time you submitted.
  • Site analytics: anonymous, first-party events such as page views, scroll depth and whether the mode switch was used. We do not use cookies for analytics, do not use third-party analytics services, and do not build profiles. Events are kept for 90 days.
  • Abuse protection: a one-way hash of your network address, used only to limit repeated submissions. The address itself is not stored.

Why we collect it

  • To send you the emails you asked for (waitlist), or to reply to you (contact).
  • To understand whether the site is clear and which ideas people respond to.
  • To keep the forms free of spam.

Our legal basis is your consent (forms) and our legitimate interest in running a secure, understandable website (analytics and abuse protection).

Where it lives

Data is stored with Cloudflare, our hosting provider, in their global key-value storage. It is not shared with or sold to anyone else. We may use an email delivery provider to send the emails you signed up for; if we do, this page will be updated to name them.

Your choices

  • Every email we send includes a way to unsubscribe.
  • If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, analytics events are not sent at all.
  • You can ask us to export or delete anything we hold about you. We will do it within 30 days.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including the UK, EU and Australia), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal data, and to complain to a supervisory authority. Contact us first and we will help.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes and, if you are on the waitlist, we will tell you.
